I missed some really good movies(critically acclaimed) in this exhaustive journey of the last month bcoz of exams and all. But yesterday watched TE3N.
It is official remake of Korean thriller ‘Montage’.
The plot revolves around a man (Amitabh Bachchan) searches for clues related to the abduction and murder of his granddaughter, while a cop (Vidya Balan) and a priest (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) investigate a new kidnapping that bears similarities to that unsolved case.
The film is as much about old age, guilt, redemption, and the morality of revenge.The emotional quotient in this is really heart touching.
Ribhu Dasgupta’s directional debut is quiet impressive and he has deep impression of Sujoy Ghosh’s style as he directed infinitely Great Kahaani. Camera work and sound design is also done very decent job that u feel Kolkata likewise Kahaani.
The main cast namely Amitabh, Nawaz, Vidya and Sabyasachi play their roles to perfection keeping the audiences glued to their seats.
Though the movie manages to engage the audience in both thriller and emotional aspect. It has some problems too. The motive of kidnapping that I thought was silly. Blunt editing bet past and present and stretched climax could be even better.
But the overall experience is Good.
