YZ
Director-Writer duo Sameer Vidwans and Kshitij Patwardhan are here with new movie YZ. Though the story lineup is not much new but it has its own magic.
Gajanan Kulkarni (Sagar Deshmukh), History Teacher comes to Pune and eventually meet Battees (Akshay Tanksale), and then his life takes U-turn.
This one is about Gajanan Kulkarni’s journey and all other things which comes across his journey.
The treatment given by director brings full of freshness, joy, fun and thoughts all together. It’s unpredictability in storytelling keeps you engaged till the end.
Sudhakar Reddy’s Cinematography captures Wai and Pune beautifully and keeps the atmosphere fresh. Rishikesh, Saurabh & Jasraj trio’s music is also fine. The experimental cinematography of songs is also good.
The most crucial thing about this one is believable and smart characters which relates you quickly. And that is why you get fully involved throughout the movie.
Crispy and thoughtful dialogues are like icing on the cake.
And when it comes to performances, there is nothing to say!
Sagar Deshmukh is really brilliant and he shows the changes in his own characters distinctly. Akshay Tanksale is the real opportunistic actor and he is terrific. Sai Tamhankar, Parna Pethe and Mukta Barve done their job decently.
But at certain points it slows down. Its focus also shifts somewhere in certain places .
It is a complete experience with lovable YZ philosophy.
